Breaking News Fri. Aug. 12, 2011

I read a story this morning that is really bothering me today. It's about the torture of bears in Asia to obtain bile to use in snake oil products. There's something about the story that really strikes a chord I think.
A parent, under insane pressure and terror finally snapping and killing their child to prevent it from being treated the same way and killing themselves as well.
It's a heartbreaking sickening story.

It sounds like what people are doing when they finally snap and kill their family and themselves soesn't it?

Speaking of bile. I went to the doc yesterday. Posted about it on Hubberts-Arms

I hope everyone has a great peaceful and healthy weekend. Thanks to everyone for all the good ideas and suggestions concerning navigation of the medial corporate behemoth that we call "healthcare". LOL

Here's what could go wrong. We on the left talk a lot about "Christian Taliban", and we've taken a lot of crap because no one's yet in the streets beating up women for voting or wearing short skirts. But that could change under a Rick Perry or Michele Bachmann presidency, because both are part of Christian Reconstruction, as Rachel Maddow pointed out the other night: (video)
