Saturday Documentary May 26, 2012 " The Fuck-It Point"

Here's one that I haven't watched yet but I see it being talked about in some of the forums.

[The Fuck-It Point]: When you have had enough. When you decide to take matter into your own hands and don’t care what’s going to happen to you. When you know that from now on you will resist with whatever tactic you think is most effective.
A film about the dark side of civilization, why we should bring it down and why most civilized people don’t.
People from civilization are fast to point out that we cannot “go back” to hunting and gathering “stone age life”, there isn’t enough wild game left for us all and wild fruits and plants cannot fill our stomachs.
But look at societies with “stone age” techniques; their minimum consumption, their ability to self sustain without degrading the land or make non-human species go extinct and their ability to survive extreme conditions.
In contrast it is blatantly obvious that if the civilized continue the path they are on we are all heading for disaster.
There seem to be no way to sustain civilization any longer, but that might not be such a bad thing for the rest of the world, because its collapse is taking place due to a larger collapse: the collapse of cultural diversity and the loss of biodiversity famously called earths sixth major extinction event which is the dark side of the progress of civilization.

  1. Hey P.A. I can only see a 'template' on your front page.
    Good article here:

  2. i think something screwy is going on with blogger and google in general.
when i click on the link to the blog the documentary shows up. can you see it?
i checked in the post list page and don't see a post for the template.
kind of peculiar. Wonder what's going on?
    and thank you.
thanks for that link too. I like Mish! :D

  3. Why cannot we have the benefits of science, and still live a simpleer non consumption life style. Why total collapse that leads to the suffering of millions, and billions? Instead live simple, no cars, walkable communities, organic community farms, neighborhood gardens, clothes from hemp and cotton, shoes of recycable materials, local labor, bikes and trains. A simple house that provides modern tech of heating and cooling( solar power), wind etc, modern medicine along with healthy eating. Simple power needs for your home. The good olde days as my grand mother use to say, where not THAT good or healthy. Keep our knowledge and useful non harming tech, and get rid of stuff, no more walmarts, huge malls, huge stadiums. Science, tech, knowledge are not EVIL.
    The Gates Outcast!

  4. This link is shown on La Curee:

You may have been censored by Google blogger I saw a tweet about it here is the link:

I must get round to swapping everything over to WordPress.

    Another good read:
'Lies are being told because Japanese government and industry are more afraid of their vulnerability being exposed than they are concerned about citizens dying. Afraid of being embarrassed, they press forward doing the best that they can, praying that an earthquake doesn’t happen.'

  5. This page did appear as the front of the blog when you first posted it up.
Since the 'template' page has popped up I got here via the archive list at the bottom of the page.
Selecting the last entry for May got me here but also opened a tab for 'Rosemaries' blog putting it on top so I had to click on the other tab to see this page.

  6. damn Curee, that's just weird!
hey, thanks for the links and info, when you get your new blog ready be sure to send me a link to put up for you ok?
    and thanks again.
